After my HomePods updated to 18.4.1, I've had nothing but trouble with several Matter compatible smart plugs. I've had them for over a year without any issues, and after this update they randomly go offline and will not return until re-plugged to power. Other HomeKit compatible accessories continue to work fine, only these Matter ones seem to be affected.

Is there anything I can do to improve this? I've rebooted the HomePods, changed which one was master hub, to no effect.

Same here. My automation that turns all my outdoor lights on works every night but the morning one that turns them off at sunrise isn’t working. Going to try deleting it and recreating it. Disabling and reenabling it didn’t fix it

After several days of the Matter plugs going offline at random times, it seems to have settled itself down...

I have an extremely stable WiFi setup (Ubiquiti), extremely solid router/fiber internet, everything on backup UPS power, so I really don't how how it all of a sudden just fixed itself.

I deleted the rule that turned off the lights and recreated it. No luck. Then I started looking through all the automation rules and I found one that turned the lights back on at 8 or 9 AM. No clue where this came from so that was my issue. Only thing I could think of is siri created it by mistake. Magically appearing rules was not one of my guesses for troubleshooting lol

My issue wasn't the automation rules, I only have two quite simple ones for these two Matter switches, they simply were not seen by HomeKit. this lasted for about 6-7 days after the last updates, I had to unplug to get them back online or reboot the homepods, sometimes they would come back, sometimes not.

And then one day it was just fine and its been ok for over a week.
