After the update, my AOD stays off after I turn off the DND Focus mode. Anyone else experiencing this? 18.4 is surprisingly horrible.
Tx, wonder what the issue is on my end. What is your device if you don't mind me asking?fine here, AOD works just as it should after turning off the DND Focus.

Hasn't come to that yetHave you tried a Reset All Settings? Sometimes that helps when multiple things seem not right. You mention that 18.4 is 'surprisingly horrible' whereas I haven't had any issues. It's been good here.
And by the sound of it — other settings, right? I've never resorted to this, as I have a million settings. It might be worth a shot to try it, it won't erase data. You'll just have to redo your WIFI settings, wallpapers, any passwords.
Yes, first thing I thought of)) Guess, I'll need to set this up for myself, since who knows when they'll fix it. Thank for confirming that this route works!I am experiencing this. It happened sometimes with older versions of iOS 18 but now it always stays off.
I have a shortcut that enables AOD and have it set as an automation that runs when DND is disabled. This workaround seems to be successful until Apple fixes it.
Yup, confirming this works on my end too! In fact, I'm probably going to keep this on, as from time to time this would randomly happen before 18.4.I am experiencing this. It happened sometimes with older versions of iOS 18 but now it always stays off.

I've used it a few times for various reasons. And by the sound of it — other settings, right? I've never resorted to this, as I have a million settings.
Thanks, yea — I would resort to this for such a minor issue. Besides — as the person above suggested — this can be patched up with an automation.I've used it a few times for various reasons.
Supposedly, it resets:
- Network settings (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular)
- Keyboard Dictionary
- Home screen layout
- Location Settings
- Privacy Settings
- Accessibility Settings
- Apple Pay Cards
- Wallpaper and other personalization
It's basically like a clean-slate approach without losing your data, and fixes other things under the hood that aren't listed above.
It doesn't wipe out data, doesn't erase photos or emails, you don't have to reset your email settings, you don't lose texts.
I've used it when I've had issues with SIRI not working properly, like being able to send a text to a specific contact. I've also used it when there seemed to be some other bugs happening after migrating from one iPhone to another, while there was simultaneously a major iOS release happening. It fixed the issues in both cases.
