iPhone 16 Pro Max, launch day device. I updated to iOS 18.4 like any other update. I received the "Software Update Complete" message indicating a successful, clean update.

Later in the day I just happened to look over at my phone and noticed the Apple logo, as if the phone rebooted. Passcode needed to sign in.

I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this issue.

Same happened here. In my case, iPhone 13 Pro also on 18.4 updated. I was watching TikTok when suddenly the device rebooted. I hope is a software issue and not a hardware one.

I am glad I’m not the only one. It hasn’t happened since then. Has it happened more than once for you guys?

Appears to have happened overnight. Phone required passcode. Lo and behold there is another “panic full” crash in the logs. Hopefully iOS 19 is a more stable operating system.
