Can receive but can't send SMS with forwarding

I finally got it working where I could actually activate the text message forwarding, but the problem is I can't send any sms on my mac, only receive them via forwarding. Anyone else having this problem and figure out a solution? Keeps saying not delivered when I try to send or reply to any text message on messages using yosemite

Works for me. Try turning of iMessages on your phone and then back on.
