Baseball Season 2006

Spring training has begun and the World Baseball Classic is a few weeks away, Its time for the marathon to October and the chase to the World Series. The hot stoves are cooling off and soon the summer heat will take over. Lets play ball. GO YANKEES.🙂
 
Dude, it's still winter in New England. The last thing on my mind is "summer heat" 🙄

That said, I'd like to start off the season with a rousing:


GO SOX!
 
Lets see how good your bowl of cereal can do in center field.😛 Hopefully the remarks of one roid Bonds are true about his retirement at the end of the season.

Cubs need to lock up Lee long term this off season or they're going to lose him to free agency aka the east coast money truck.
 
Okay, I've got to say it... the team to beat in the NL West is:

The Los Angeles Dodgers!

(Having watched them stumble through 2005, even I'm surprised to hear me say it!)

He will never have a year like he did last year, that is for sure.

and the team to beat in the league is the Sox of course, Sox in first, Jays in second, Yanks in third (not making playoffs)
 
If the White Sox can find a good, consistent center fielder that can play defense, they will be back in the playoffs again. While they only lost one game last postseason, many of those games could have gone the other way. I'm a White Sox fan, but I know how hard it is to win a World Series, much less twice in a row. 😀

Well, that's alright with me, but I can't stand Guillen. Of all managers, he has the least amount of class. I'd love to see the Cubs have some success in chi town, but if the white sox never win a game again under Guillen, don't look for a tear from me.

Ya Guillen does seem to have foot in mouth disease, just shut up and keep your comments to yourself, Just cause ya one a championship doesn't give you the right to run your mouth.
 
Is anybody planning to watch the World Baseball Classic, If I need a quick fix I might tune in but its not gonna by the high level of competition that it should be.

I'll be a casual observer. I'm not going to go out of my way watch it, but I'll watch a game or two.
 
The Dominican team is basically like the world all star team. I think I'll watch a game or two of theirs just so I can see them annihilate some smaller countries (aka the US heh).

Yeah, Dodger fans are really scared of the big bad Padres! After all, you guys got ol' creaky knees. He couldn't throw anybody out when he was in his prime. Just what an NL team needs, a designated hitter!
