The whole release of an 8.1.1 beta to begin with, especially how quietly it seemed to have happened was already at least somewhat weird on its own.

My guess is that another beta is coming out to fix the Masque Attack issue. I don't think it signifies that they are going to stop signing 8.1.

I don't think anyone here implied that they would stop signing 8.1. But it is strange that they stopped signing 8.1.1 beta 1. Seems to signify some update coming, whether it's a beta 2 or the public release of 8.1.1.

Strange, sounds like either beta 2 or the public release should be coming soon, likely today.

If not, this move doesn't make a lot of sense.

When beta 1 was release it was set to expire on 5th Jan... And then Apple suddenly stopped signing it today.. I think beta 2 is coming later in the evening like 10.1.1 was released...

iOS 8.1.1 is still available on the developer portal

But they have actually stopped signing beta 1... I tried updating on one of my testing iDevice.. But its giving me error. Idk whats wrong with Apple.

I don't think it was called beta 1, it's the same version. Same build number. We've not had another beta since then

How accurate is that signing checker too? And even if accurate, I believe there have been cases where some random older firmwares or recent ones would be come active for a short period of time for some reason, almost like some old server would come up or some maintenance would be happening on Apple's side of things that could temporarily result in some strange things related to what versions might be signed or not. Not saying that's the case here, but I do recall some odd things like that popping up in the past at times.

Nothing indeed, but patience young apprentice, iOS 8.1.1 will be released on Friday - Thursday US time ;)
PS; Quote me if I'm wrong ;)
Btw; My tea leaves tell me that it will be 1 day before my prediction ;)

Glad you have covered all the bases, just in case.....;)

This issue was known from July, so they had enough time to fix it but it seems that they don't give a ****** till it is published in the press
