Apple support says (for iTunes 11, though we are at iTunes 12 as of writing)

http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12310

Move forward or backward within a song - Control–Alt–Right Arrow or Left Arrow

This is a major bummer since the same key combo is used in Windows 7 (default) to rotate the screen.

I don't understand at this point why a design conscious company choose keyboard shortcuts to interfere with your system? Why on Earth? 😕 (What if I am not a computer-literate person? 🙁)

Ideally, I want to use both. FFWD/Rewind in iTunes by keyboard shortcuts and screen rotation in Windows as well.

Which is less pain to change and which is better to leave as a system default? Grr.

(I thought it might be a better idea to listen to my Audible audiobooks in iTunes on Windows, since the Audible Windows clients is totally useless (and looks like it was updated 1000 years ago); hence the need for FFWD/Rewind)
