I have a lot of music manually syncing to my phone via iTunes USB.
I was horrified today to find that the star ratings for every single song that's synced have been erased as of today using iTunes 12.1 and iOS 8.2b5. Now yes, this is a beta OS that I normally wouldn't use, but unfortunately a serious bug in 8.1.x forced me to update.
Being a developer I'm now going to have to spend an entire day writing software to compare past backups of iTunes data with what's missing in the current live copy and writing applescripts to dynamically repopulate that data, but I'm concerned for everyone else who hasn't noticed this yet if you're also affected.
