Forbes just released their annual billionaire list. The Steve clocked in at a tie for 140th place with $4.4 billion.

Increasing your net worth 150% in one year is pretty amazing. Increasing it by $1.4 billion is even more so.

He owns a good bit of Apple stock, I'd think, and that's shot up quite a bit this year. Oh yeah, and it's close to 50%, but not 150%.

Steve has 10 million shares of restricted stock...they vest this month and are worth about $620 million. He also has options on another 120,000 shares that he can purchase for $18.65...another $5 million...chump change.

The vast majority of his wealth comes from Pixar.

Lets also remember the buy out of pixar from Disney for billions, and the stock options SJ gained with Disney and the position...

The buyout has only been announced. It will not happen until later this year, which means it has no effect on Steve's current rank. It will play a role in his rank next year.

He is worth 150% of what he was worth last year, or 50% more than last year. just a matter of how you look at it. Means the same thing though.

Your statement is true, but the post he was correcting is not. It is either "150% of" or "50% more," but not "Increasing your net worth 150%," which is what Oryan's post said.
