As the title says.... I have a 60mm width wrist and 174mm circumference.

My favorite two were easily the 42mm SS Milanese and the 42mm Space Gray Sport. Here are some quick thoughts on my selection.

Ultimately i decided on the sport. I really like the weight and feel of it. I agree with others who have mentioned the sport band has a nice look and feel to it. I also ended up buying the Milanese 42mm band to pair with the sport model.

The milanese band is great. It has several pros: Breathable, Easily Adjustable, Lightweight, Classic Design, Casual / Formal. The Milanese Loop actually has a brushed steel look as it mates with that watch that. It is only shiny on the very edges of the connector and not on the flat surface. I have included pictures to help demonstrate this.

The 42mm looks and feels great. It really is one of those things that looks better in person than in the photos. The watch has such a square look you expect it to be chunky on the wrist. It feels great! Very classy and comfortable.

Sport Band: Lightweight. Casual. I can hardly feel it there to be honest. Great band.
Leather Loop: It's okay. Doesn't feel high end. Look average. Buckles a little finicky because the ridges. Brown was my favorite here.
Milanese Loop: Very awesome. Feels great. Looks classy. Easily adjustable. Lightweight. Love it. Favorite band.
Classic Leather Band: It was okay as well. Very business look.
38mm Watch on a 174mm wrist: NO. The moment the specialist put it on my wrist i knew without a doubt it wasn't going to work. This is coming from someone who previously had a very small and understated watch.
Space Gray Sport: Love the look. Very sleek. Lightweight. Typical refinement of an Apple Product.

Notice the brushed steel look of the adapter that mates with the watch. It is not shiny like the watch. It is only polished on the very edge (side view).

They wouldn't allow me or the specialist to swap out any bands. They had the bands already attached to specific watches. I really wanted to see the Milanese on the Space Gray but it wasn't happening. Here is a photoshop mockup of what that might look like.

Thanks for posting!

A couple of questions on the Milanese if you don't mind:

- I have hairy arms. It looks like you do as well (although not AS hairy as me...). I'm terrified that it will pull my arm hair. Tell me it doesn't?

- How secure does it feel? Could you go for a run without worrying about the magnet pulling loose and having it fly off your arm?

It doesn't. Honestly. This band feels fantastic. I loosened and re-attached it several times which caused the band to slide directly against my arm as it tightened and I never felt anything. Feels more like a solid piece of flat material sliding against your arm.

This is tough to describe. Obviously I didn't try to run with the watch on for fear of being tackled by all the Smurfs ;-) But... If I had to guess... Running ? Sure. No problem whatsoever. I would feel very secure running in it.

The little magnetic tab at the end of the band might keep it from coming all the way out of the loop (I didn't check).

Things I might draw the line on:
Using a sledge or framing hammer may be too much force with sudden deceleration.
VERY aggressively swinging a baseball bat ? lol.
Holding a coconut above your head and trying to smash it against the pavement may be too much force with sudden deceleration as well.

I guess I'd just take it off to smash coconuts or frame houses. Outside that I think you are fine ;)

This really is a tough question. I had an 11am appointment and I'm pretty sure I was one of the person's first visitors. I could tell they were apprehensive with customer's fully handling the devices. When I would go to adjust the watch or mess with it I could tell they wanted to intervene if allowed.

I didn't really think to wave my arms around. It felt extremely secure. I am very cautious with my electronics and I baby them. I didn't have any fears of this band causing damage from coming loose.

Fair enough - thanks! Your favorite two models are my favorite two as well. I think it might come down to price and I'll get the sport, but, damn does that milanese loop look nice...

Not to hijack your thread, but here is a pic of the 42mm Sport with a Milanese loop. The employee helping me out was also very interested in how it would look, so he let me try it out

I really like it, I like the contrast. I was on the fence before trying it on, but I'll be purchasing a Milanese loop for my 42mm space grey sport

Point 1
These are the best photographs ever and you should be hired by Apple, because the renders on their site are rubbish.

Point 2
I really wish I'd ordered the Milanese loop. If I'd seen your pictures I would have done.

So, thank you for taking the time to post.

Im SOOOO GLAD I went with a 42mm! I started to follow all the posts stating that it would look TOO BIG etc....! I ordered the 42mm and could not get my foot in the door to get the milanese link to receive it 4/24-5/8... Ill probably just hold off for a bit and order once the hype dies down a bit
