18904 users with no posts! yes i do have too much free time

ok so i just thought about browsing the site... because i'm soo bored and i don't feel like studying, and i decided to see what the 'Members List' page had to offer, so when i clicked on the link, i clicked on 'Posts' and saw that some of the users have posted ALOT of stuff... right now i believe Mr. Anderson has the most posts. So then i clicked the 'Posts' button again and it said some users had 0 posts. I thought that this would only be for the first few pages, but to my amazement... it went on until the 361st page!! :eek:

That is 18904 users registered to the MacRumors FORUMS that havn't to this day made a single post!

Whaddaya think?

I know, and they're have been threads on this before. Unfortunately, arn doesn't want to delete these accounts.

I feel terrible, then, for giving him a shortcut which tells him the answer in about a second. Must take all the joy out of it. :(
 
lol... about the 'hobby'... i do have many hobbies... but the thing is i'm at home right now since i have exams in about 2 weeks... and as a part of my procrastination from revising, the twisted road of events led to surfing the MacRumors site... sheesh i'm sorry... it won't happen again!

Well, it's hard to say. Maybe posting, on the average, once every four hours each day, every day, for the past three and a half years?

I'd ask Q to be sure, though.
 
Looks like I've found a new hobby ;)
I'm in 1532nd place for post counts :p

You should see how old some of those accounts are. They really should be deleted.

you never know.. maybe they're all lurkers, signing in every day and simply using vBulletin's great features to manage the posts they haven't read!

like i said... i'm supposed to be studying these days... and my way of revising for exams is by locking myself in my room and reading... every now and then my attention is brought to the computer... come on people let it go already! i do hope some of these comments are sarcastic...

Haha, I gave up on the whole revising in my room thing a long time ago. I have to drag myself away and head to the library. Late night library sessions all the way!! Except sometimes I end up using the library computers for a 'quick' break. An hour later...

Speaking of which, this break has been far too long!!!!!

Lol! Yeah are a few people on here that I've seen are based in Nottingham but I think you're the first fellow student I've seen! Where are you studying, what do you study and what year are you in?

I'm a Notts Uni 2nd year Physics with Theoretical Astrophysics student. I don't have much of a life.

... and here I am with a measley 385 posts... on the bright side, a mere 115 posts until I get an avatar (if I remember correctly)
 
^^Who the heck gave njmac permission to get an avatar? Was Arn being nice to n00bies that day.

Maybe some people joined MacRumours, and then decided to do a search for a past thread, or even an ongoing thread discussion that covers the same topic. But since we know that never happens, disregard this post.
