Just wanted to let anyone know that might be in the market for a new monitor. I bought a mini a few weeks ago and decided it was time to finally take the plunge to get an lcd. Had put it off and put it off, was using a stone age 17" crt that was HUGE (well, aren't most crts huge?)

Anyway, I didn't have the $ for, nor did I have any interest in spending $700 or a 20" cimema display (or whatever it cost) or $1200+ for the 23". I did want a white lcd, but Frys (where I got my mini) didn't have any. Settled on a silver one which was ok.

Strolling through Best Buy yesterday, actually looking for something else, and see this white Samsung lcd for incredibly cheap, $309. I thought maybe it was open box/one only, but no, that is the price. Sales guy said they aren't selling that model any more.

Bestbuy.com says on backorder, but your local BB may have them in stock. Several in my area did.

(Mods - I don't work for best buy, I'm just alerting others that might be interested in this deal :) )

Unless you're set on a white monitor, there are much better deals out there. Dell's 19" monitors are $220-$250, while their 20" widescreen is about $360.

no offense bud, but there are comparable, if not better, deals online.. 19' WS LCDs are around 250 online now. it'd be much lower for a 19' full screen..

I mostly posted because it is white, don't see many if any. I don't know, maybe I'm weird in that I like my stuff to look uniform.

BenQ do a 19" monitor that's glossy white and has a base you can put your mac mini on. It's got both VGA & DVI ports, and is mac calibrated color support.

Oy, Benq FTW :(

Man, that's nice. Never woulda guessed they made smething like that, that would hold my mini, and be that cheap.

Thanks for ruining "my" good find at BestBuy :)
