Hey guys!

Quick question. Is it relevant to buy a 19 inch external screen for a MacBook (with resolution going up to 1280x1024)?
I used to have a 17" hooked up to my macbook, and if i remember well, the resolution for the external screen could only go up as high as 1280x800.

My point being: should I buy that 19"? Can the macbook handle it?

It should be able to handle it. The MB is more powerful (I think) than the Mac Mini and on the Mac Mini's BTO page you can add a 20" or 23" ACD. I'm sure that if the Mini can handle a 23" ACD the Macbook should be able to handle a 19".

Apple Tech Specs said:
Extended desktop and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 1920 by 1200 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors

I would personally suggest getting a 20" widescreen, but sure, yes, the 19" would work fine.

I think i will get rid of my two 17" screens i am using on a desktop pc and get one 19" widescreen instead for my new macbook. :D
