My father bought two Macintoshes when they originally came out in 1984 and he was telling me that the one he still has is one of the ones with the signatures inside the case. I'm not sure if it still works, and I think that it's yellowed a bit, but can anyone give me a guess on the price. A friend today told me what he thought these were selling for and I found it a little astonishing!

Thanks for the help and the link - my dad will appreciate the history.

All of 'em did in the early years, / Sigs are not a selling point.

The Macintosh (128) models are not particularly a valuable collectors item unless they come with the original box, packing, manuals and disks in mint condition.

They are worth something, though, as long as it works. There are more collectors and some may want one as they cannot afford one complete in box.

I got one from a flea market for $25 years and years ago. Just the unit, mouse, keyboard, and external floppy.

I think they're around $40+ depending on the condition...

yeah the 128k's are selling for a decent price. even mac plus's and 512k's are on the rise as fewer and fewer of them are actually working units

The 128k will be one of the most collectable Macs...5 years ago you could get one for almost nothing, even online..these days the prices are climbing as steadily as Apple's current fortunes.

I'd love to get a working one it was the year I was born and would be just so.... amazing to me :p

mwhahahaha, my kitchen pantry is stocked with 1 working 128, 3 plus', and like 8 SEs. All working, well ok so as of last use they worked, or you could say that 4 years ago they were pulled from a working environment.:D
