This is great news for Apple!

Apple seems to be quite unstoppable lately - hopefully this will generate some good press for them.

I think the beatles made good music, but I agree, they are just being greedy and sour by tackling Apple (Comp).

Fantastic result though, Im sure it relieves alot of pressure Apple was under.

I wonder how much money Apple Corp. could've made if they'd just allowed for The Beatle's music to be available on iTunes rather than having a whinge. Apple Corp are basically invisible to me (do they have any other clients?) they should have just followed the industry lead.

I reckon they'd be much better off now if they had - Beatles on iTunes would be great!!

Does anyone know - if Apple had lost - how much money [roughly!] would Apple Corps have received? Hundreds of millions?

i would of thought 50 -100 million plus removal of all apple logo's from iTunes Music Store

but the did'nt so Apple can now spend it on R&D on the next big thing:cool:

YEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!

Hahahahahahahahaha hopefully they'll have to cough up some serious £$€ now.... hahahahahaahahahahahahaha.

Perfect timing for new product releases if they are forthcoming. Hopefully the media can put a good spin on Apple Computers' win and not paint a portrait of them as the big corporate ogre with all the money and power. Trust me, they could do it in a heartbeat if it suited them.

With a good spin and new products, Apple Comp. could make the news all week - good timing for the US Education buying season (it is buying season up there isn't it?)

As a long Apple stockholder, all I have to say is we have a ticket to ride!

MIDI sockets on Macs right now!!!!!

Please, oh please, oh please......

The original agreement meant that Apple never put "music" hardware on their machines, and the Atari 1040st became the defacto music making micro.

Maybe we can get a Mac with balanced inputs and outputs too...:D

Just been watching an interview on BBC News 24 at the High Court, Apple Corps intend to appeal hopefully if they do, it'll be thrown out and Apple Corps hit with the mother of all legal bills. hahahahahahaha.

Judge Eddie comes through.... :D

On a related note, I just saw another report on CNN that said that Warner music now has 14 counts against it for conspiracy to fix online music pricing.

Frickin' criminals... GET 'EM STEVE [and Apple]!!!

Oh, and release Asteroid already! :D

Apple Computer meanwhile is demanding at least £1.5 million in fees from Apple Corps.

Only £1.5 million... you deserve more Apple, come on Judge Eddie... come down hard on 'em and their frivolous lawsuit. :D

Fantastic News! :D

I wonder why Apple Core just didn't put their song library on iTunes. Dummies!

The best part about this is that the beatles will have to pay Apple's legal bills. I want that system in the US. Hopefully, it will stop ppl & their BS lawsuits in search of settlement money. I don't hear of british citizens suing each other for tens of millions b/c some neighbor's front door is the wrong shade of blue.

In the UK, just how successful are appeals? In the US it can be a mixed bag, in particular if they "shop" for a sympathetic court.

Not really sure... from comments made by the judge and the BBC News 24 presenting who was at the High Court, I got the impression that an appeal won't be very successful at all.
