1GHZ TiPowerbook G4 SuperDrive failing

Superdrive is failing in my 3 year old 1 GHZ Tibook: Time to Replace, Any thoughts:
Found these options:
OWC:superdrive for $134.99
OR
MCE:superdrive for $129.99

The MCE Drive can burn DVD+-R DL faster (4x)
OWC Drive is slower (2.4x DL & only DVD+R DL)

I have more experience & trust with Macsales.com (OWC)

Ive never heard of these guys:
Anyone have any experience with MCE technologies???

You can also buy an external DVD burner (16x dvd+/-r, 8x dvd+rw and 6x dvd-rw, 8x dvd+r dual layer) for half that.

The External Drive is def. an option... much better price... but i already carry around an external HD and a 6x8 Tablet in my Bag, i didnt want to add any additional weight.
My back hurts to much as it is.
