Hi guys just got the mini out of th box, and I can't pair my track pad, which is new as well, the screen is rotating 2 pictures to pair the track pad, is it some king of lock, which needs to be unlocked?

I had exactly the same issue, although my trackpad isn't new. Booted it off my Logitech keyboard, which has a build in trackpad (USB receiver) then used BT to pick up my Apple BT keyboard and trackpad.

I'd use a wired mouse if you have one handy, run through set up and then pair the trackpad. Its been fine once it was paired, hasn't dropped.

Check this.

I had problems too. Not with the trackpad though. Only with the keyboard. You can read several opinions there. ;)

Hi, just to explain the picture, its the bottom of the Magic Mouse, the on switch :)

Obviously it assumes your going to be using a mouse rather than a track pad.

With my Magic Mouse I just switched it off and back on again and it paired fine.

Not sure if thats possible on track pad.

I remember posting the same question a few years ago when I bought a mini for headless use. I understand that Apple is all about clean design, simplicity, etc., but I'm sorry -- that image is not the universal symbol for "Please connect a mouse for initial setup." Would it kill them to add those seven words?
