I got an old ipad 1st gen recently which was supposed not to power up, or not to power up screen. I did a hard reset on it and connected it to my ipad air charger and found that it is stuck in an endless loop intead :)

I can see an Apple logo for a few seconds and then it restarts itself. Tried few things with it; tried connecting it to my mac - but obviously usb ports in mac are not powerful enough to charge it; tried putting it in to restore mode - and that worked up to a point, I can see 'connect to itunes' message on the screen while i'm connected to a charger, but as soon as i take it off the screen goes black and device turns itself off.
For the moment I left it connected to air charger but it just goes on and on inside that loop and I dont even know if it's charging it or not.

Any suggestions would be welcomed and appreciated.
