I have a first gen iPhone that I don't know what to do with. I'm not sure what they're selling for on eBay, but it can't be enough to make me want to sell it. It's in beautiful condition. I'm wondering if I should jailbreak it or just keep it as a backup or what. What cool stuff could I do with a jailbroken spare phone?Anyone have any suggestions?

I jailbroke mine just for the hell of it. Right now my son uses it as a ipod touch. I keep my 3G as a back up phone.

Ya, that's probably what I'll do. I've never played with a jailbroken phone before so it should be cool for a bit.

mine has a cracked screen and i dropped it again on the power button and its stuck in so it wont power on unless connected to the charger. So it just sits in my room.

Sell it, i got 345 for my dads first gen iphone on ebay a month ago.

Sell it starting at 0 with no reserve on sat around 6pm est, 7 day auction.

345? I thought they were selling for around 100.

Probably dollars.

I still have mine. Managed to demolish it a few weeks ago, so got it replaced from apple. Got a nice new shiny one now :) Gonna keep it until my contract runs out (october) and then get a 3GS.
