I have a rMPB and a iphone in the same room. The iPhone's wifi works fine and I can browse the web and post here. However, my rMBP's wifi doesn't work. The wifi icon on the top right is completely lit up. It will run fine for a few seconds or minutes then just stop working. VERY VERY spotty. The iPhone's wifi is not spotty. Works 100% fine.
I'm not far away from the modem/router, but if I bring it closer it seems to work better. Genius right? Still should be working fine from this distance though as it has for the last 2 years.
My roommate's iMac is farther away and his wifi works 100% fine. Doesn't make much sense.
Edit: yes I've reset the router too many times today and yes I've reset my computer too many times today. Doesn't help.
