So, I have been going back and forth recently on whether or not I want to purchase a 1st generation Apple Watch. Inevitably the generations that follow the 1st will be slimmer, sleeker, etc. but that still doesn't really dissuade me from buying the current watch. What does dissuade me is the idea of a more feature rich watch and the fact that Apple should be better at building watches the next time around.

Feature wise, what all would you speculate being introduced in the next couple generations? Are there any particular technologies you think Apple is holding back on for the next release? Anything you are waiting on before you buy it? Has anyone had any bad experiences with a first generation Apple product - iPad, iPhone or otherwise?

The next Apple Watch is expected to be round, have a hi-def 360° camera and if you tap the screen 10 times you'll be able to teleport yourself to Moscow and have a one-on-one with Putin.

Seriously there are like 10 posts like this already in discussion...

You forgot the puppy. Apple Watch 2 will come with a puppy.

I think is going to be 2 years before Apple updates the hardware
The watch is not sluggish, the only time it slows down is with third party apps
That should change with native apps in the future

They might introduce new bands and casings , but nobody is complaining about the watch being too thick
Most people don't even have the watch yet , so you will be waiting a long time for a gen 2

If you want the watch buy now
You can always resell to get the new one

Considering that the Apple Watch didn't start shipping till late April, and majority of people still wait for their watches till June, I think Apple won't announce a new Apple Watch till April of May of 2016 at the earliest.

Unlike the 1st-gen iPhone or 1st-gen iPad which were missing critical hardware parts, the Apple Watch is perfectly fine in terms of hardware. Their biggest challenge and upgrade will come to the Watch OS software.

Before Gen 2, I think what they'll do is add more material options (plastic, titanium, etc..) and new bands along the way.

Sorry, still new with these forums. I did a couple searches and couldn't find what I was looking for. I'll be more thorough next time.
