How do you install the update? I look in the App Store - no updates. I look on the apple icon, no updates.

I have a new iMac 2017 that I purchased a few days ago - on High Sierra.

About this mac , then system update. If it doesn’t appear, then in app store search mojave and download it

Thank you - I did find it via the store - ad at top of page. But when I click on system update, it says nothing. Kind of weird. Well this new iMac has been acting funky the whole few days I have had it....

Same was for me , system update led to nothing I manually installed it from app store. Also it need time after installation to get buttery smooth. Install it and than restart it few times it will be cool
