They're uncommon, but maybe not that much. Shipping would be killer, they're one of the heaviest Macs ever at around 60 pounds. Probably why it's listed only for free local pickup. I've always wanted one of those. I'd put Leopard on it.

Anyone have one or used one? Or even seen one? I thought I saw every Mac ever made but never even heard of this one.

Thoughts on it?

How much is she worth today?

eBay listing (not mine)

Sad thing is, many who have these things are schools. That means that they don't know that they are rare collector's items and end up tossing them. I was touring a middle school not too long ago and saw one there... I am sure it got tossed :(

A co-worker of mine wants to get rid of hers. I don't think they were technically rare but with their primary market not many people outside of education were aware of them.

The difference being that the Molar has a full G3 desktop board in it complete with PCI slots.

IIRC, they were basically a "G3 Desktop/Minitower" thrown into an "All-In-One" case.

Also, they weren't sold internationally, so were pretty limited since they were education only in USA, AFAIK.

I'd love to get my hands on one, but weight/freight makes that pretty impossible for me. :(
