Hi,

I'm looking to get a mac mini. Should I get a 1TB Fusion Drive or 256GB SSD?

I am currently using 170GB in total on my windows laptop (inc OS).

Thanks :)

Btw I will be using Windows through Bootcamp too.

Thank you. I am waiting till Thursday for the hopefully new release.

My question is whether I should get a 256GB SDD drive or a 1TB Fusion Drive?

If 256 is enough get the SSD. If it's not, get the fusion as you'll get most of the speed of the SSD plus the storage you need.
When I had this question for an iMac I got a 512 SSD :)

You could get the cheaper one and Make your own Fusion Drive. However with the announcement of the Tuesday conference wait just a little while to see if Apple updates its (crosses fingers).

Plus there are install videos that will help with the installs.

Been using a DIY Fusion Drive in my Mac Mini for about a year and a half and it's been amazing. Totally reliable and super fast. That said, with SSD prices continuing to drop, I can't see much of a call for Fusion in the future...
