1TB hard drive, 2.5 mm sata, 9.5 mm high

I have an early 2008 black macbook and would like to upgrade the HD to 1TB if poss, has anyone done this already or can you tell me which is the best HD to buy.

I know you can install 12.5mm drives on a MBP, but I don't think you can in the MB (don't quote me on that).

Currently, only WD & Toshiba offer 1TB 2.5" drives (WD=5200rpm, Toshiba=5400...have yet to see the Toshiba for sale in North America), but both are 12.5mm.

If in fact you can't install 12.5mm drives, 750gb is your next best option (again, made by WD & Toshiba)...both are 9.5".
