1TB HDD 13" Macbook late 2006

I want to upgrade HDD for my Macbook and was looking at WD Scorpio Blue 1 TB Internal hard drive. I know its about 2mm thicker than a standard laptop drive and read of people cramming it into MBpros with success.
Has anyone tried a pre-unibody Macbook?

Pre-unibody MacBook (Pros) other that 17" cannot fit 12.5mm HDs AFAIK, so no. 750GB is the biggest you can get

Nah they're too big. Get a 750GB, which I'm sure should be enough

From Apple's support pages:

Your model may not accommodate drives more than 9.5 mm high.

With force, it may be possible, however you risk the safety of the disk.

Thanks, this has been helpful. 750gb will be cutting it close but I guess it'll have to do for now.
