Well the only 1TB HDD's out there at 3.5" enclosures where the Macbook Pros currently only support 2.5"

Soo I would say no....

No.

Drive has to have a maximum height of 9.5mm.

The 1TB ( and bigger) will be available in 9.5mm sizes eventually. For now, you might want to go with a 650GB hdd.

I'm upgrading my HDD to a 500GB HDD.
Look at Seagate, they go upto 500GB and 7200 RPM, they're a good make.
But for now, anything over around 640GB is hard to come across publicly and cheaply, sorry. :)

The drive manufactures should release a 1TB drive at 9.5mm form factor sometime in mid 2010 or towards Christmas of 2010. In the interest of competition, they might release the drive sooner than my prediction.

Thanks! I thought they were just in those two sizes! Learn something new everyday! I just wish SSD where cheaper! I would kill for a 256GB for $100! lol I could only hope
