1tb HDD in MacBookPro3,1?

Im looking to update my mbp hard drive

was wondering if the 1tb hard drive would work in the mbp before the unibody ones?

The 1TB ( and bigger) will be available in 9.5mm sizes eventually. For now, you might want to go with a 650GB hdd.

Why don't you check out www.macsales.com? They make is very easy to determine what type of HD you can fit in your MBP.

I'm upgrading my HDD to a 500GB HDD.
Look at Seagate, they go upto 500GB and 7200 RPM, they're a good make.
But for now, anything over around 640GB is hard to come across publicly and cheaply, sorry.

The drive manufactures should release a 1TB drive at 9.5mm form factor sometime in mid 2010 or towards Christmas of 2010. In the interest of competition, they might release the drive sooner than my prediction.

Thanks! I thought they were just in those two sizes! Learn something new everyday! I just wish SSD where cheaper! I would kill for a 256GB for $100! lol I could only hope
