Does this update actually fix the known bugs from 2.0? If it doesn't I'll have to hold off until I get home in 2 weeks because my internet here on vacation is painfully slow, and it would take me 2 days to download.

Fixed one bug for me, when watching internet video (cnet loaded) you could not fast forward or rewind with it going out of sync. Now voila! it works ... I am pleased. The iPod also seems more responsive and less laggy when opening apps.

Still tries to backup as standard when syncing which seems to take forever.

Worth the download for me. :)

Feels to me like things are just behaving like they should have in the first place. Everything appears to be smooth and playing nice with one another.

Another bug fixed is when you get into safari, the pages does not refresh automatically any more.

It seems everything is running really nice, although, I never really had any problems with 2.0 except for the laggy keyboard in Safari.

Maybe it's just me, but after 2.0.2 my battery life seems to be much lower than before.

I got 2.0.2 and there are a few obvious improvements like the contacts lag is gone, coverflow switching is much smoother and generally things are faster and smoother.

Worth a download.

Everytime there is an update everyone says it affects their battery life. This is a load of rubbish. They have only improved things like performance. Not made things use more power. I think maybe you are just using things that take up a lot more power now. Battery life is not good on the iphone anyway. we all know that

I can't say I'm noticing much difference. Certainly no worse, but not obviously any better.

...I'm still running 1.1.5... is the 2.0.2 worth the upgrade now or do some more bugs need fixing first?

I don't know what bugs in particular you're worried about, but my Touch has been pretty solid (at least in terms of stability and functionality) since .0.1. Most of the early 3rd party app crashes have gone away, either as a result of Apple fixes, or fixes from the app developers themselves.

I can't really see any particular reason not to to do the upgrade at this time.

Ya, there are simply WAY too many variables that affect battery life to actually be able to tell if an update has affected your battery life.
