iPod touch 2.0 Software Update... Question about buying

OK. So yesterday I was one of the impatient few who was able to download from XML. But, now I would like to buy it and give Apple my $10. So, after purchasing, do I need to upgrade my touch firmware or can I just leave it on the one I downloaded yesterday?

I'm curious to know if it would even let you install the purchased firmware because you're already running firmware with the same build number. However, it probably would just override whatever you have on there now. You would of course wipe out everything on your iPod and have to do a complete sync. But you should be ok.

Just plug in your Touch and hit restore
