2.0 update question (legit update)

when you update to 2.0 through iTunes (legit, not the early leaked file), does it ask you to perform a backup? since the phone is wiped for this update, will the backup restore everything including bookmarks and weblinks ?

It didn't ask... it just said backing up then after restarting itself it said restoring.
