Apple now has there iTunes servers up and running again and the 2.0 Firmware Upgrade is available for $9.95 by connecting your iPod to iTunes 7.7 and clicking "Check for Update"......enjoy!


I got the 2.0 Firmware Upgrade from iTunes at around 9:30 EST this morning for free......then went to get it on my friends computer 10 minutes later and it wasn't there anymore! Apple's servers have been down since 9:45!!! Here are some pics and a YouTube vid of the app store and some apps.....any questions or comments please feel free to speak your mind!

I got this through iTunes right before it crashed.......but if any of you guys really can't wait any longer......

mmmmn the built in screenshot is nice. I was worried that they would take that out for the consumer release as it seems like something really only the developers need.

i found the 2.0 upgrade on some website this afternoon and downloaded it as 3 rar files. once uncompressed it made the
.ipsw file and worked fine.

the build is 5A345, not sure what the difference is from 5A347

everything works great including the app store and new apps.

Also have 2.0 firmware, build number 347. When syncing with my iPod itunes always wants to make a backup of my ipod, takes a few min so dont wana be doing it everytime i sync. Anyone else have this, and how to disable it.

Backing up does take a long time when you have many apps installed, not sure how to disable it though.

Only got 6 or 7 apps, spose this would effect it. Im guessing its just sending all my inputted data from my apps back to itunes.

5A345 was an older version (i think the last developer version) and 5A347 is the consumer (legit) version that will be for sale on iTunes (where I got it).....like I said, email me if you cant wait for the itunes servers to come back online

Chopper.....other than Dcatyl.......is my favorite game......i think its well worth the $6.....much better than MonkeyBall......I highly recommend it...but if you're on a mac, check out the desktop version....there's a trial
