Not sure if this is old news, but I sent Steve Jobs an email telling him about all of the problems I have been having with my iPod (I had gotten a replacement, tons of restores, and called apple 10+ times...someone finally told me to email Steve directly for the heck of it).

And here is the response I got:

"Steve Jobs to me


We are working on a software update for this month that should fix these problems. Thanks for your patience."

Not sure if this is old news but this looks like a pretty solid confirmation.

Actually that only confirms a software update, not 2.1. It could be 2.0.3 for all we know.
