2.1 Draining Battery screen flicker when sleeping

Hey guys,
Ever since the 2.1 upgrade my battery has been draining quicker than normal. This morning out of the corner of my eye I see a flicker coming from the iPhone screen sitting on my desk. I picked it up and wait and again another flicker while its sleeping. While I havent timed it yet my screen flickers I would say every couple min.

Can anyone else confirm this with their iPhone?

I cant do restore cuz my laptop is in for repair. Stuck with battery draining from a flickering screen every once in a while.

Anyone else with bad battery life see the screen flicker after you put it to sleep? It takes a few min, keep it in front of you and you will notice it.
