2:1 Speakers - Home Theater

Since this isn't for my mac, I thought I would post this here.
I am looking for this system, but not in bose. CineMate
The reasonly why is because I don't know that I want to spend $500 something like that. Also I've read some pretty cruddy reviews on them. So I'm looking for any system that does the same.

Any suggestions?

Personally i am not a huge fan of Bose, they sound really flat and lifeless. Take a look at Nakamichi, their Soundspace line is phenomenal albeit a bit more money than you are stating though. Soundspace 5 can be found for around that price and i believe it is a 2.1 system (Front left/right channels and a subwoofer).
