I'm fine with paying $2258.07 on the thing, as long as I know it's worth it. My friend has a 2010 15" MacBook pro and it's a pretty decent machine. I wanna know if it's big enough that you can so stuff like photoshop or fcp as a hobby. And if it'll be portable enough to occasionally carry around. So for those of you that have bought it, was it worth it?

Any Mac model will easily handle the work you described, and the 15" is quite portable.

I know it can handle it, I'm wanting to know if the screen size is big enough
That's really up to you, as some have a hard time seeing 17" displays and others work fine with 11" displays. What works great for one may be completely unacceptable to another. You have to decide what's best suited for you. I suggest a trip to the Apple store to check out the various screens for yourself.

well if u arent going to use the specs to there potiential, then theres no point of blowing money on higher specs if u arent going to use them

if screen is a big deal, u cana lways buy an inexpensive external monitor.
