2.2 jailbreak but not updating baseband

hi guys..

can any one post a guide on how to upgrade to 2.2 but not update the baseband , as I seriously need a soft unlock in the future.

It's simple--Just make sure that you don't use QuickPwn. QuickPwn automatically updates the baseband.

Use PwnageTool, and be sure that you don't select the "Update Baseband" option.
