I have a 2007 2.2Ghz MBP (Santa Rosa) and the GPU (Nvidia 8600M GT) has failed.
My AppleCare ran out 3 months ago and phone based tech support will not talk to me unless I pay $50. Luckily, it looks like the stars have aligned and this repair will fall under the Nvidia GPU recall (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377)

I have 4 Apple stores within a 60 mile radius of home. Do any stores make system (logic board) repairs in-house or do they all ship out to Texas?

Thanks
Mike

Took it to the Marlton, NJ store. Repairing MBP at no charge. They are also going to fix a scratch and replace the little rubber feet that fell off.

They have all the parts needed in stock and said it should be ready for pickup in the morning. :):)
