All the gadget blogs have posts asking "Is copy & paste coming to iPhone in 2.3". Are there really people out there that are going to fall for this again. This has been hyped since 1.4, are we really going to keep asking ourselves the same stupid question and expect a different response?!?!?!

You can always email Steve Jobs and ask. Maybe he'll reply to you.

clippy or Hclipper works fine though jailbreak is needed

if apple were smart they would add copy/cut/paste

There will probably never be an iPhone 2.3, until the next iPhone, which will be 3.0.

Also copy and paste has been wanted since 1.0 and not 1.4

Seriously somebody should develop the mock up that was floating around a while ago with the two rings...

I'm surprised at how little I care about having a copy/paste feature on the iPhone. Not sure I'd ever use it.

That said, I don't think we'll see it for quite a while. Probably 3.0 at the earliest.

This question is achieving high standards as questions like
are we alone in this universe?
what is the primary nature's building block?
what happened before the big bang?

I dunno. Why don't we keep making new threads about it, and see if that helps? ;)

In the meantime, I am absolutely thrilled with Clippy, especially since it has gotten a Butler-esque clipboard history.

how about we get the basic phone features first. I impress people with this cool gadget/phone, and then when they find out it desnt do bluetooth transfer, text forward, text cancel, and other small things, it puts the iphone to shame...but i stil love it:apple:

If it comes, it comes

If it doesn't, I don't care

I lost the energy to care awhile ago.

This is what happens when dealing with Apple. I keep waiting and waiting for the iPhone to get some of the more higher end features of smartphones like copy/paste, document editing, bluetooth file exchange, etc but they never come.

Missing those features just kills it for me, and keeps me seeing how other phones are just catching up to the iPhone in UI and blowing it away in features.

yeah, copy and paste is quite useful, i've used it a number of times. so far i'm happy with clippy.
