Why are you running the Rosette PPC version of GeekBench on your C2D system? Running the same x86-version as on your new system should give a way more accurate comparison —*and your old one will get a score that's a lot closer to the new one as well.

my 2006 core duo (not core2duo) 2.0 ghz mb got higher than 2000 ( i think around 2200) on geekbench
