2.4 ghz vs. 2.8 ghz processor for imac?

i'm trying to decide between the intel core 2 duo and the intel core 2 extreme for my imac. i will be running extremely audio-heavy programs such as pro tools and ableton live, and i will be upgrading to 4 gb of ram. considering that the hard drive spins at 7200 rpm, does the core extreme make that much of a performance difference? or should i just save money and go with the 2.4 ghz?

Due to the nature of the apps that you are going to be running, I would say to spend the extra money and get the 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme.
