Hey, it's no big deal, but I've just ordered a new battery for my ibook and the delivery time says to allow 2-4 Weeks to build your order, and 3-7 business days for delivery.

Why so long? Is it that I caught them with no stock and a factory shipment is coming or do they exaggerate and them ship sooner?

Could be because there are some many orders to fill because of the recall.

I am assuming your ordered from the Apple Store?

yep, on the apple store. Of course! I didn't think of the recall *slaps hand into face*

By the way, I'm currently on about 1 hour 40 mins on max charge. How long does a fully charged new battery last?

Apple says 6 hours, but I know that they tend to exaggerate.

The iBooks actually have really good battery life. My 14" can around 4.5-5 hours. I think the 12" might be closer to 3.5 hours.

Just got this mail from apple;

"We estimate that it will be delivered to your shipping address on or before 19.10.2006."

I guess thats not to bad but its an estimate and that recall is really killing the shipping dates.

my 12" ibook got over 4 hours with full brightness and wifi on. Definitely one way in which it was better than my MB.
