Can you guys (and I say that in a gender neutral way) :D recommend any good 2.5” external Hard Drive?

I am looking for something affordable with a FW400 and the ability to daisy chain a couple (so I guess it will need two FW ports).

Thanks in advance!

Well, I've had 2 3.5 HDD's crash on me recently, while my 2.5 incher is buzzing along (3 year old). I've heard that the reason is partly because 2.5" are laptop hard drives and are able to take more abuse.

Am I right?

Also, the size is an additional reason. But that is very secondary.

So I'm open to suggestions....

I bought a 250gb seagate 2.5" hard disk and put it in the owc mercury-on-the-go triple. I use it for time machine backup. It has not given me any problems so far(9 months). Somewhere I read that Seagate hard disks are more reliable than the other brands.
