2.5 MBP lag in COD2 Demo

My laptop seems to be lagging a lot when i play the COD2 demo
i downloaded it from Apple.com
i figured that this old game should run like wonders
considering i have a 512mb card...
But ya... not so much
its not very smooth
its not like laggy laggy
but its no where near as smooth as i see on my xbox...
is this just because its a downloaded demo or what???

Even when im just scrolling through the menus...
the cursor jumps and lags...
idk why!!!

the res is at 1024 x something

I belive CoD 2 is not UB rite?

It might be not universal, meaning it isn't made for intel macs, but mac's with PPC chips. Also it is probably emulated, using WINE, so it will run slower.

I've never played that version. But I play CoD4 on my MBP using bootcamp and I run it through the native resolution with the graphics on highest setting with no issues. Not sure if that helps...
