I'm looking to upgrade the HD of my wife's Macbook. What's the best enclosure for the money to put the old 60GB drive into. I'd like FW400 and USB2, but if it's only USB2, that's allright.

I see the one at OWC, but at $90, it's kinda pricey.

I also had an older IDE enclosure for my iBook's drive that was glitchy. That enclosure had a Prolific controller. I'd like to stay away from Prolific if possible.

Any suggestions?

thanks.

Icy Box have a 2.5" SATA USB enclosure which comes with a padded leatherette case. It seems to work OK on Macs. Ironically I've had more problems with some PC's, as it seems to need an extra boost with the included 2nd USB connector for power. The model number is IB-250StU.
