I just got Aperture 2 and it's pretty cool.
My new Uni 2.53 GHz 4-gig/ram Model seems to be working pretty hard whilst editing and converting 12 MP RAW files from my 5DMk1.
The fan really revs up periodically, and it takes a bit of processing time. Is this normal? I'm not sure how much system resources Aperture 2 takes up. What are your experiences?
Thanks

You can't exactly expect everything to compute instantly...

Coming from an old 1.4Ghz Toshiba with 1.2 gigs of ram, I thought it would at least feel instant. ;)
But, I suppose with the passing of time, newer programs require more muscle to push those pixels...

Even an octo-core Mac Pro will take some time to process RAW files.

Why did you have to go and shatter my dreams? What do I have to look forward to now? You sir have destroyed all I have to live for! :p
