While debating which of the new 13 inch MacBook Pro's to buy, I am stuck on how significant the increase in processor speeds between the 2.53 and 2.26 Ghz would be. While I am tempted to buy the base model and upgrade the RAM and hard drive myself, I'm still stuck on whether or not I would notice a real difference in these processor speeds. I'll admit, I don't know a lot about how processor speeds alone affect the overall user experience. Conventional wisdom tells me that I really wouldn't notice much of a difference, unless I were a high end user. I'd like to hear others' thoughts on this Thanks in advance.

You won't notice any difference. It's just .27GHz which is nothing nowadays. There's no reason to buy high-end 13" MBP because you can upgrade RAM and HD by yourself.
