So I picked up an Ethernet Dongle for my new MacBook..wanted 2.5GBe so paid a bit extra. The model is the $30 one from Plugable.

If I plug it into the MacBook..everything works fine. However, what I want to do is plug it into my OWD Docking station, so I don't have to plug/unplug each time I leave my desk.

Plugged in there it does not work:(. It lights up, but cannot establish a connection..the Mac thinks it is unplugged

Does anyone have a brand of 2.5GBe Dongle plugged successfully into an OWC docking station they can suggest?

Did you ever end up finding a solution that worked for you ? Did it work natively with the OS (Big Sur or Monterey I assume) or you ended up having to install drivers / kext manually also ? Also does it continue to work after a sleep / wake cycle or you need to unplug / replug again ? Thanks
