Do you guys think its a good buy? I mean with taxes its still around $2250. If you take in account to the 2.8GHz base model right now from Apple with student discount after taxes would be $2489 (tax regarding Texas) the 5770 card would cost about that much difference from the 2.66GHz model with the gt 120 (much weaker card) from Microcenter.

I find it funny how the pricing works itself out like that. :rolleyes:
 
The new one also support 6-core CPUs so it's more "future-proof". There are resellers that sell it without the tax too
