Not sure if this will fit in this section or Bootcamp section; but anyway.

Im interested in upgrading the graphics card in my 2.66 MacPro from the ATI X1900 to the nVidia 8800GT...im wondering if this performs decently under windows and im currently running Bootcamp 1.4 software (which has been working fine on my system) will i need to get the latest Bootcamp drivers to efficiently run the 8800?

Do I need to get the drivers from nVidia or are the bootcamp drivers sufficient?

(for windows im using XP Pro SP2, and MacOS X Leopard)

thanks!

okay thanks.

will it matter if install the Bootcamp 2.1 software and then install the nVidia drivers from the site?

It's quite easy, I run an 8800 GT in my 2.66 GHz Mac Pro. :)

If you don't mind living on the bleeding edge, you can also get the latest beta drivers.
