i5-5257u vs i5-5287u macbook pro

In canada for CAD108$ should i get the upgrade for the 13" mbp?

I know the perfomance is pretty similar, but i keep thinking about the futurproof thing. I want to be able to use it many yrs 3-5 yrs without issue.

Mainly use for web browsing, word, photoshop, indesign, illustrator

This question only you can answer. Is $108 worth it for YOU to have a faster computer?

To some people, $108 is a lot of money, so it might not be "worth" it for a few extra MHz. For others, having the fastest possible laptop is "worth" it.

Not knowing your financial situation or the value that you place on performance, it is impossible to say if it is "worth it" for YOU.

Given the performance delta (~4.7% in single core and 4.8% in multicore, see here http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/compare/2173902?baseline=2229142 ) ask yourself whether $108 is worth the tiny performance difference?

At best, your workload would only be faster by less than half a second.
